Sam is the CFO of Yellow Label Technology ltd and CEO of Finstant ltd and has been mentored by Paul Skidmore, Ian Harvey and Durrie Hassan to help him progress. He's also given back to three mentees through his University alumni programme. He shared his story with Wisetree: While in Hong Kong I had the opportunity to go Beijing on a business trip with my Mentor. I was able to shadow him and see how the other part of the Tech giant functioned in China. I was also entrusted to deliver a report to shareholders about the direction of one area of the company. At 21, this was pretty terrifying, but a great experience that was entrusted to me. Mentoring hasn't just helped me, it has helped shape me. With Paul, it turned me from an undergraduate into a professional, who looked out of the UK for opportunities and it was his guidance that helped me go to Hong Kong, then pursue a Masters. Sam is the co-Founder of Yellow Label Technology ltd and has been mentored by Paul Skidmore, Ian Harvey and Durrie Hassan to help him progress. He's also given back to three mentees through his University alumni programme.. He shared his story with Wisetree:
With all my mentors, they have helped me transition from clueless young adult to driven professional who is on the cusp of some really amazing things. They have taught me that I was naive, but this isn't a bad thing, just keep asking questions and seeking out knowledge and progressing yourself. My message to all my mentors would be that all my past and future success can be, in some part, attributed to them. I have won awards both personally and with my companies, and my mentors helped make me that person. They took me under their wing at a critical time in my development and make me the person I am today, and for that I will be forever grateful. It is also the reason I started mentoring others.
It had such a profound effect on me I wanted the opportunity to give something back. If any of my mentees found my mentorship half as useful as I found mine then it'll be worth it.
